Synopsis

This 50 minute documentary focuses on the writers for the pulp magazines of the 20s, 30s, 40s and early 50s and the stories they told that were the basis or inspiration for many of today's iconic movies. Featured interviewees include Ray Bradbury and Frederick Pohl, who got their start churning out fiction for the pulps before obtaining fame through their novels, as well as editors such as John Gunnison of Adventure House and bookstore owners such as Otto Penzler.(English)
